We wanted to live the RV life but worried about our cat, Black Lightening. She was a feral cat that I found in our backyard about 10 years ago. She doesn’t like anyone but me and Edonna. She hates change. I worried for weeks about how she would adapt.
The day we moved in she refused to leave her cat carrier for four hours. I was so stressed. We went to bed that night hoping she would find her way around the coach. Right before I fell asleep, she joined us in bed. The next day found her way to the front windows. She is so much closer to birds and squirrels that she spends the majority of her awake time in a window.
Within a few days we were relieved to find that she loves her windows and that she has not tried even once to run out the door. We are a few days from leaving Georgia. This will be the test to she how she is during the drive. She has adapted so much better than I thoihg
We love to travel. Jowanna (I) has visited all 50 states. Edonna has two more reach all 50 states. We plan on traveling to those states in the summer of 2018. The reason for becoming nomads is that we always had the desire to stay in one location longer. I loved Idaho. We only spent two days in that state. I really want to explore more. It was so beautiful. Edonna loved Washington state. We spent 5 days exploring the state but we only spent two in the national park. She wants to explore that area more.
Living in our motorhome will allow us to stay in a location longer. Our goal is to stay at least three weeks in a location before we move on so that we can experience the local life. We moved into our motorhome on April 13, 2018. Our current campground is about three miles from our old house. We are using this time to learn all of the systems for our motorhome. More about that soon.
Please enjoy some photos from our previous trips.
We are a travel loving couple. We are always up for an adventure. Edonna is a retired Marine who has a passion for science. Jowanna used to work in higher education who has a passion for healthy living. We hope that you follow us on our journey into nomad living.
