Columbia has a fire hydrant that is billed at as World’s Largest Fire Hydrant. Of course, I was on the case to find this hydrant and photograph it. When I saw it I thought it did not look bigger than the fire hydrant in Houston.
It seems that Columbia’s hydrant is 40 feet tall, thus making it the World’s Largest Fire Hydrant. The Hydrant in Houston is 24 feet tall and is billed at the World’s Largest WORKING Fire Hydrant. My mind now at ease. Off to look for more oddities across our fair nation.
Just a block over is this wonderful piece called Tunnel Vision. I walked over and got a photo of this beautiful piece of art.
