Connecticut round up

I cannot believe we have been here six weeks already.  It was a fun time.  I attended my 30th high school reunion, which was a blast.  I got to spend time with family and friends. I would like to give you a round up of my favorite places and services that I used while in Connecticut.

Food – I love coming home to eat.  I won’t eat lobster (Go Fish) if I am not at home. Here are a few places that I ate that I highly recommend.

  • Pizza Plaza – 944 Poquonnock Road, Groton, CT 860-445-1111  (best Genoa grinders ever!)
  • Red36 – 2 Washington Street Mystic, CT 860-536-3604
  • Go Fish and Pink Basil in Olde Mystic Village (Exit 90 off I95)

I try to be mindful of self care.  I get a massage about every 30 days for the past five years.  This has been part of me properly taking care of myself.  I found a great therapist who was near our RV Park.  What I loved best is that you could book your appointment on line.  Betsy has excellent hands.  She is very professional and puts you at ease from the moment of meeting her.  Simply Massage is located on Main Street in Mystic.  I was able to fit in two appointments while I was in town.  I recommend the 60 minute Swedish massage with hot stones.  You will thank me.

I needed to get my roots colored while I was in town.  I received a great recommendation from a friend.  Natalie D’Angelo, owner of Simply Gorgeous in New London, knocked off my socks with her coloring technique.  I dare say she is better than the colorist that I had in Atlanta.  She will be the only person coloring my hair when we are in the area.

Tell me your favorite spots in the area.
